Rock Face

This is an earlier, pre-entrance-to-the-monastery shot. It highlights just how varied the area’s terrain was (bacon hills on one side, this on another.) It was also beautiful and sometimes more than a little intimidating, as previously mentioned. At around the time of this shot, our friends were probably nearing the Azerbaijan border guard and his binoculars and I was most assuredly cursing the nature around me.
